Stephany Bellomo is a Principle Engineer at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI). Stephany’s current technical interests include technical debt, modernization, and DevOps. Stephany has a master's degree in software engineering. She began her career in aerospace as a satellite software developer for Lockheed Martin and later became a lead software engineer for Intuit and Verisign. Since joining the SEI in 2007, Stephany has engaged with dozens of government and DoD clients including the Army, FDA, DHS, NRO, MDA, NASA, VA, and several Intelligence Community agencies. Stephany holds the distinguished status of IEEE Senior Member. She served as guest editor of IEEE Software Magazine in 2015, 2017, and 2018. She also served on program committees for organizations such as the International Conference on Technical Debt, International Conference for Software Architecture, and SATURN. She is a contributing writer for the book Cyber Security Engineering: A Practical Approach for Systems and Software Assurance.
