Jürgen Vaupel drove the implementation of the Software Curriculum at Siemens Healthineers from its beginning. He focused on ensuring that software architects receive clear distinguished recognition in the organization and have a clear career option as part of the Healthineers HR processes. This was key for the success of the software architect role at Siemens Healthineers. Jürgen has a PhD in computer science and an MS in mathematics. After his postdoc at the University of California, Berkeley, he joined Siemens Healthineers in 2000 as a software and system architect. Since 2013 he has also held a professorship at the Philipps University of Marburg.
