Senior Director of Baseball Informatics
Dan Fox is the Senior Director of Baseball Informatics for the Pittsburgh Pirates and has been with the club since 2008. In this role, he and his team are responsible for the architecture, development, and dissemination of information systems and predictive analytics within the Baseball Operations department with the goal of enabling the organization to make the best decisions possible in the realms of player evaluation, acquisition, development, athletic performance, and game strategy.

Prior to joining the Pittsburgh organization, Fox worked with the baseball analytics websites Baseball Prospectus and The Hardball Times as an author and weekly columnist. He was also employed as a software architect at Compassion International in Colorado Springs and prior to that as a software instructor, author, and consultant.

Dan resides in Mars, PA, with his wife, Beth, and two daughters. He earned a BS in Computer Science from Iowa State University in 1990.
